One in 6 couples around the world will experience difficulties getting pregnant. Infertility is a global issue and, unfortunately, comprehensive and high-quality infertility services are unavailable to many men and women seeking to expand their families.
Fertility Tourism, also referred to as Reproductive Tourism, is a type of medical tourism in which both men and women travel abroad, or to another region within the same country, seeking state-of-the-art infertility treatment such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and chromosome testing (PGS).
The Arizona Center for Fertility Studies (ACFS) is proud to offer IVF tourism at its convenient Scottsdale, Arizona location, less than 30 minutes away from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. With over 12,000 babies brought into this world since 1982, the experienced and dedicated ACFS medical team is committed to your vision of having children become a reality.
When considering IVF treatment abroad, it is important to find an infertility clinic with unmatched experience and a track record of success. ACFS was founded over 35 years ago and continues to stand as a leader in reproductive medicine and scientific research. The ACFS team only utilizes the most innovative and proven approaches to successfully treat all aspects of infertility.
One of the key elements of ACFS's successful infertility treatment is the use of a breakthrough technology that significantly improves IVF outcomes called preimplantation genetic screening or PGS. PGS examines all 23 chromosomes in each embryo, isolates embryos with spontaneous chromosome abnormalities, and only transfers chromosomally normal embryos into the woman. PGS reduces implantation failure (unsuccessful IVF) and miscarriage rates while improving clinical pregnancy rates significantly.
The Arizona Center for Fertility Studies believes so strongly in PGS that they are the only infertility clinic in the United States to offer preimplantation genetic screening to its patients at cost. Through PGS, patients at ACFS experience a 20+% higher pregnancy rate than those who use conventional IVF.
Whether you are attempting to have children for the first time, or have experienced heartbreak after years of trying to conceive, the Arizona Center for Fertility Studies takes IVF tourism to new levels with its extensive list of services and overall reproductive medicine capabilities.
Specifically, ACFS offers a wide range of assisted reproductive technology (ART) services designed to help you conceive, including:
In addition, ACFS offers testing and treatment for many health conditions which may impact fertility and overall health. In many instances, infertility can be averted when these underlying health concerns are addressed:
That’s the simple part. Just call the office at (480) 860-4792 (office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday) to set up an in-office, Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom consult. For all prospective Infertility Tourism patients, the initial consult is done at no charge. At the initial consultation, the IVF and PGS procedure (or any other treatment options) will be discussed in detail and ALL your questions will be answered. Plan on one hour or so for that initial consultation.
IVF treatment is an investment. ACFS works to save you as much money as possible by minimizing the testing and procedures conducted in our offices. Whenever possible, we encourage our patients to work with their OB/GYN or family practitioner to complete preparations before visiting ACFS for treatment.
Before starting any treatment, we will schedule you for a no-charge consult with our Financial Coordinator to go over the exact cost of the procedure. There are NO hidden fees and you will only owe the quoted price for the procedure.
Your first appointment at ACFS is spent retrieving eggs through a transvaginal oocyte aspiration (TVA) and will need to be in Scottsdale, Arizona for about 5 days (you could stay longer allowing ACFS to do more of your monitoring). After egg retrieval, you can return home and the ACFS team will spend the next 10-11 days preparing the eggs for implantation; we will fertilize and culture the eggs to the blastocyst stage (days 5-6), biopsy the day 5-6 embryos for chromosome studies, and freeze all the biopsied embryos (awaiting the results of chromosome testing which takes about 5-7 days).
Once we learn that you have chromosomally normal embryos (euploid) and/or the sex you desired, you can begin to prepare (at your home state and/or country) for your frozen embryo transfer (FET) as soon as your period begins after egg retrieval. Preparation will be discussed in detail at your initial visit to ACFS and follow-up consults at no charge.
Once your frozen embryo transfer (FET) preparation is complete, you will return to the clinic at your earliest convenience for the embryo transfer. For this procedure, you will only need to be in Scottsdale, Arizona for 1-2 days. After the embryo transfer, you can return home in approximately 24 hours. A blood pregnancy test is done 9 days after FET and, when the test is positive, an early ultrasound is done at around 6 ½ weeks by your OB/GYN; or if you are still in Scottsdale, Arizona; at ACFS, at no charge.
There are several hotels conveniently located near our Scottsdale infertility clinic location that we have negotiated reduced pricing for when receiving care at your clinic.
